Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

About the Role

Lead our technology vision and strategy as we build the next generation of AI-powered intelligence solutions. As Chief Technology Officer at OpenIntel, you'll be responsible for overseeing all technical operations, product development, and innovation initiatives that drive our mission to revolutionize intelligence technology.

You'll work directly with our executive team to define and execute our technology roadmap, ensuring we maintain our position at the forefront of AI and intelligence innovation. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of national security technology while building and leading world-class engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the company's technology strategy and roadmap
• Lead all aspects of product development, architecture, and engineering
• Oversee the development of AI/ML systems and intelligence platforms
• Build and manage high-performing engineering and technical teams
• Establish technical standards, best practices, and development processes
• Drive innovation in AI, machine learning, and intelligence technologies
• Ensure security, compliance, and scalability of all technical systems
• Collaborate with executive team on business strategy and growth initiatives
• Represent the company in technical partnerships and industry events
• Manage technology budgets and resource allocation

Requirements

Experience

• 1-2+ years of experience in software engineering and technology leadership
• Experience in CTO, VP Engineering, or similar executive technology roles is a plus
• Proven track record of building and scaling engineering organizations
• Experience with AI/ML systems, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise software
• Background in defense, government, or intelligence technology preferred
• Experience with security clearance and compliance requirements

Technical Skills

• Expert knowledge of AI/ML frameworks and technologies
• Deep understanding of cloud architecture and distributed systems
• Proficiency in modern programming languages and development practices
• Experience with cybersecurity, encryption, and secure development
• Knowledge of government contracting and compliance requirements
• Familiarity with intelligence and defense technology ecosystems

Education

• Active security clearance or ability to obtain clearance
